Good news for two Melbourne live music venues.

16 Apr 2010

Two venues in Melbourne have now had their ‘high-risk’ security conditions rolled back and removed from their liquor licenses, as agreed in the Live Music Accord signed with the State Government and music industry representatives in late February.

The George Hotel in Hamilton is the first pub in Victoria to successfully apply for a change to its licence conditions.

EAST Brunswick’s Lomond Hotel has become the second Victorian pub to have its high risk security conditions rolled back.

There are still many venues who have not as yet applied to have their ‘high risk’ conditions removed. A form now exists for licensed music venues to apply for the removal of these conditions which can be viewed on the Department of Justice website.
