Music Victoria presents ‘Know Your Rights: Contracts and Cancellations’, a members only online event featuring a panel of industry specialists who have the answers to these very questions. Tash York (Performer/Producer), Taylor Poole (Promoter) and Moira McKenzie (Lawyer) will share their industry knowledge, helping you to understand:

  • to know what to look out for
  • understand what you are entitled to
  • and where to go for help

Tash York is a multi-award-winning singer, improviser, cabaret performer, producer, podcaster and Emcee! Known for her ballsy voice, dynamic energy and an uncanny ability to rap on command, Tash “is a phenomenal performer, charismatic and courageous” (Theatre People). With her unique brand of comedy cabaret, and solo shows titled “Adulting”, “Badass”, “Winefulness” and “Trash Talk”, she has performed to sold out audiences across Australia, Edinburgh, and on cruise ships all over the world.

Taylor has been working in the live music industry for over 5 years. She was the Entertainment Manager for Cherry Bar, Yah Yahs and Hotel Westwood and live music Promoter for OneSixOne nightclub. Taylor has worked in artist services for large-scale festival

Moira McKenzie is a Melbourne based lawyer specialising music, entertainment and intellectual property law. A musician herself, Moira holds a Bachelor of Contemporary Music and Bachelor of Laws. With over 10 years experience, Moira represents a broad range of artists, managers, indie labels, producers, venues, promoters, festivals, ticketing providers, and music start-ups. Moira has served on the boards of The Push and Music Victoria and volunteers as a pro-bono lawyer for Arts Centre of Australia.s such as Laneway, Southbound, Goodlife, and Pitch Music and Arts.
