Callout to Victorian musicians to apply for new Music VR Backers Fund

Live 3D virtual reality (VR) streaming platform, Inverse, supported by Music Victoria, the Victorian Music Development Office and Moon Mother Productions, is calling out to Victorian musicians and performing artists to apply for a first-of-its-kind Music VR Backers Fund, created to aid export of Victoria’s music talent to the world through immersive technology.
Best Practice Guidelines for Live Music Venues 2021

These guidelines provide information for venue operators who are planning to host, or already host, live music at their venue. Topics covered by the guidelines include managing sound to maintain a positive relationship with neighbours, providing a safe environment for patrons, staff and musicians to enjoy the live music experience, and building constructive working relationships with musicians.

Update to Venue & Music Industry Restrictions

From 11:59pm on Friday 26 February, Victoria will return to COVIDSafe Summer Restrictions. Masks will be only be required on public transport, in rideshare vehicles and taxis, in sensitive settings such as aged care facilities – and in some larger retail settings including indoor shopping centres, supermarkets, department stores, indoor markets. Masks are still recommended indoors or outdoors when social distancing can’t be maintained.
Circuit-breaker action to finish, with some cap restrictions in place for music venues

This morning's announcement from Daniel Andrews MP revealed that the 5 day circuit breaker action had the desired impact on COVID19 tracking and tracing, allowing an easing of most of the restrictions in Victoria, getting us back to our COVIDSafe Summer.
