The Victorian Music Crawl is a new Victorian Government initiative to build connections between Melbourne and regionally-based music industry leaders.  

On the second Crawl for 2017, a fresh group of booking agents, musicians and media will be treated to local performances, will visit venues and festivals and meet local council and industry in Frankston, Mornington Peninsula and Meeniyan area.
The delegation will visit a range of venues including small and large pubs, a church, a festival site, a mechanics hall, a winery, a café, a radio station, an arts gallery, a brewery, a nightclub and a Mexican restaurant.
Local artists, representing diversity of gender, age and genres including rock, jazz, blues, will perform at the sites.
The Crawl will be visiting these areas:

  •  Thursday 24 August 24: Frankston’s Pier Bandroom, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, God’s Kitchen, RRP FM,  Hickinbotham Winery and Baha Taco Joint and Music Bar.
  •  Friday 25 August: Red Hill Bakery, Balnarring, The Westernport Hotel, Sam Remo, Loch Village, Meeniyan Town Hall.
  •  Saturday 26 August: Mossvale Park, Grand Ridge Brewery, Mirboo North, Inferno Nightclub.

Local artists to showcase include: Charlie Owen, The Midwayers, the Weeping Willows, The Strzelecki Stringbusters, Young Vincent, Sam O’Connell, Mia Grunden, the 2 Rubys, Bleach, The Grogans, The Grunden family band, Joel Plymin, Maxon and Nola Lauch.
The local music showcases at Hickinbotham Winery and Baha Taco Joint on Thursday 24 August are open to the public.
Music Victoria will also have a photographer/videographer on board to capture all the action, and this content is available to media on request.
