Fourth & final round of speakers announced for the Face The Music Conference 2010.

The 2010 Face The Music Conference is on this weekend and the full program is available to download. In the meantime, another 17 speakers have been added to the program. 

Over 75 high profile international, national and local artists and music industry experts will be sharing their knowledge and experience with the music community at Melbourne’s annual industry conference; providing both a platform for both professional development and networking, as well as nurturing creative ideas and expertise.

Announcement of winners for the Melbourne Prize for Music 2010

The Melbourne Prize Trust has announced the recipients of the Melbourne Prize for Music 2010, the Outstanding Musicians Award 2010 and the Development Award 2010. 

The announcements were made at BMW Edge in Federation Square and included the opening of the free exhibition of finalists in the Atrium – November 8 to 22.

Council tunes in to musicians parking needs

In another win for musicians, an agreement has been reached where Yarra City Council will waive parking restrictions in front of live music venues.
