Brunswick Music Festival 16th-27th March 19 Jan 2011
Now in its 23rd year, the 2011 Brunswick Music Festival program is now live on the festival website.
Held from the 16th – 27th of March, the festival presents local, national and international performers across venues in the City of Moreland, as well as many free events including the all-ages, all-genres Sydney Road Street Party held the week before the festival on Sunday 6th March with music on multiple street stages.
Performers include Sime Nugent Band, Vika and Linda Bull, Rebetiki, Melbourne Ukelele Kollective, Sal Kimber & the Rollin’ Wheel, Jess Ribeiro, Pirates of Beer, Chris Altmann, Shane Howard, Plastic Palace Alice, Rick Dempster, Ian Collard, Accordion Orchestra of Melbourne, Kavisha Mazzella, Bennie and the Fly By Nighters, Buried Feather, Flap!, George Kamikawa & Noriko Tadano, Continental Robert Susz, The Shambelles, WooHoo Revue and more.
Venues participating include the Brunswick Town Hall, East Brunswick Club (including concert style seating for some shows), Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre, The Penny Black and the Lomond Hotel.
Online gig bookings via the website are available from Thursday 20th January and the Festival box office opens 1st February (at the Mechanics Institute, cnr Sydney Rd and Glenlyon Rd, Brunswick).
